Your project will probably need an on/off switch. If you plan to house the project in an enclosure, we found this great rocker switch to help you out. RoHS and UL approved.
These panel-mounting rocker switches have built-in indicator lights to let you know when your switch is engaged. They mount into a 20.2mm diameter hole and are rated up to 16A @ 12v. These simple SPST on-off switches have three terminals, the two that you would normally see plus a ground tab for the blue LED lamp inside.
This little round on/off toggle switch is rated up to 10A at 125VAC and can be panel mounted in a 20mm diameter hole. It’ll also look pretty slick in your project.
Sometimes you want a small input and a single button just won’t cut it. A 5-way tactile switch allows for a joystick-like interface in a very small package. These are surface mount, but easily soldered.
