• Simple Installation Steps:
  1. Remove the old EWS2 control unit.
  2. Locate the +12V ACC, GND, and K-line wires.
  3. Attach the emulator, ensuring it’s in service mode (JUMPER 1 shorted).
  4. Connect any K-line diagnostic adapter to the vehicle diagnostic connector.
  5. Launch the EMULATOR CONFIGURATION UTILITY.
  6. Choose the COM port, write the desired ISN number, and press “Store.”
  7. Alternatively, for some ECUs, read the ISN number directly from the engine control unit (select “ECU xxxxx” and press “Read”). Then choose “EWS emulator” and save the ISN number into the emulator.
  8. Disconnect the emulator from the K-line.
  9. Remove JUMPER 1 and connect the K output from the emulator to the DME (DDE) <-> EWS line.
  10. Don’t forget to short the two starter relay wires (EWS connector)!
  11. Your car is now ready to start.
