PCT F-81G Splice Adaptor 3 GHz

The US PCT International F-81G coaxial adapter is used to provide the best available connection between coaxial cables. The F-81G is one of the highest quality F-81 adapters currently on the market. It has a DSM ™ (Digital Seizure Mechanism) mechanism that provides high-power multipoint contact to the mains lead of the cable, compared to standard "F" adapters. PCT F-81G is recommended for use with all terrestrial and satellite applications involving 22 kHz and DiSEqC tone switching as well as high-speed Internet. The performance of the F-81G meets all SCTE requirements, making them ideal for use in systems up to 3 GHz.

Highest Operating Frequency
The internal dielectric coupled with the symmetrical round pin provides a superlative combination in a frequency range between DC and 3 GHz.

Higher Return Loss
With a return loss of over 30dB @ 1GHz, compared to the 13dB applicable to standard adapters, the F-81G can provide a high quality connection resulting in higher digital speeds. The F-81G series exceeds the current SCTE levels.

DSM ™ Holding Mechanism
The F-81G series features a DSM ™ (Digital Seizure Mechanism) holding device that provides high-power multipoint contact on the mains cable. This results in lower contact resistance and therefore higher handling capability when required, as well as greater resistance to long-term oxidation of the mains. The patented DSM ™ of PCT also creates a mild wiping action that removes any oxidation upon insertion.

Beryl Copper (Pin)
The use of the most expensive material - gilded beryllium copper - for the DSM ™ internal mechanism, provides greater holding force than traditional copper pins used in standard F adapters. The advanced material also supports a higher spring tension after repeated inputs.

Wider Core Cable Duct Range
Due to the capacity for greater beryllium copper elasticity, the F-81G series can accept a wider range of sizes in the core cable ducts, maintaining high strength on smaller wires, even after repeated wiring of larger wires.
