HDMI over UTP technology is used to extend HDMI signals through network cables (CAT5e / 6, UTP) to an HDTV screen that is located away from the source device. The 371-072 is capable of maintaining the high resolution (10.5Gbits, 1080p) image resolution - which you would get with an HDTV directly linked - at distances up to 60m.

It consists of a local transmitter unit located next to the HDMI source and a remote receiver unit located on the remote HDTV screen. Secure HDMI transmission with an Ethernet cable (CAT5e, UTP)
